These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the roofing services we provide. They were written to be clear and fair to both sides. If anything's unclear, give Keeton a call at 807-465-4332.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Roofing Solutions website (roofingsolutions.live), requesting a quote, or engaging us for any roofing service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, prospective clients, and customers in Northwestern Ontario.
2. Our Services
Roofing Solutions provides residential and commercial roofing services including installation, replacement, repair, inspection, storm and emergency response, metal roofing, asphalt shingles, flat and low-slope systems, eavestrough and gutter work, and related services. Service availability depends on location, weather, and crew capacity. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
3. Quotes, Estimates & Pricing
All inspections and written quotes are provided free of charge with no obligation. Quotes are based on conditions visible at the time of inspection. If hidden damage or unforeseen conditions are discovered during work (such as rotted decking, undisclosed layers, or pest damage), we will pause work, notify you in writing, and provide a revised estimate. Work will not resume until the revised estimate is approved. Verbal quotes are non-binding — only signed written quotes constitute a valid agreement.
4. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full upon completion of work and final walkthrough. Larger projects may require a deposit and progress payments as outlined in your signed quote. We accept e-transfer, cheque, and major credit cards. Past-due balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually) and may be subject to collections. Disputed amounts must be raised in writing within 7 days of invoice.
5. Workmanship Warranty
We provide a lifetime workmanship warranty on all installations performed by our crew: if a leak or installation defect occurs as a result of how we installed the roof, we will return and repair it at no charge. This warranty applies to the original homeowner and is non-transferable unless explicitly noted. It does not cover damage from acts of God (hail, lightning, fallen trees, wind exceeding the materials' rated tolerance), modifications made by third parties, neglect, structural settlement, or normal wear. Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate and carry their own terms.
6. Project Scheduling & Delays
Start dates and completion timelines provided in quotes are estimates. Weather, supply chain issues, permit delays, and unforeseen site conditions can shift schedules. We will communicate any significant delays as soon as we become aware of them. Roofing Solutions is not liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from reasonable scheduling adjustments.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to: (a) provide safe access to the property and roof, (b) move or protect vehicles, patio furniture, and outdoor valuables before work begins, (c) secure pets indoors during work hours, (d) notify us in writing of any solar panels, satellite dishes, or rooftop fixtures that must be worked around, and (e) ensure attic spaces are accessible if interior inspection is required. We are not responsible for damage to items not disclosed or properly secured.
8. Insurance & Licensing
Roofing Solutions is fully licensed to operate in Ontario, carries WSIB clearance, and maintains $5 million in commercial general liability insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request. We are not the insurer of your property — your homeowner's or commercial property insurance remains your responsibility throughout the project.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Roofing Solutions' total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages including but not limited to lost income, lost use, or emotional distress. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
10. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel a signed quote within 10 days of signing without penalty, provided no materials have been ordered or work begun. After this period, you remain liable for materials ordered, work performed, and a reasonable cancellation fee covering scheduling and administrative costs. Refunds for deposits are calculated on the same basis.
11. Photography & Marketing
We may photograph completed projects for portfolio, marketing, and social media use. Photos will not include identifiable interior shots, personal property, or addresses without explicit written consent. If you do not wish your project to be photographed for marketing, please notify us in writing before work begins.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Roofing Solutions website — including logos, photographs, written content, designs, and the Roofing Solutions name — is owned by us or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content for commercial purposes without written permission.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved first by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be brought before the courts of Ontario, with venue in the District of Kenora. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be posted on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
